In 1950, our family opened Orient Electric House in Chandni Chowk, Delhi, and began lighting Indian homes. Three generations later, we’re still there. In 2010, we started Fos Lighting to take our own designs beyond the shop, across India and beyond.
More than light

Rooted in Indian craft
India has centuries of art and craft behind it: stone inlay, embroidery, mosaic glass, enamel work, brass. We want every Fos piece to carry a little of that heritage into your home. Every Fos light is made in India, by craftspeople we work with directly.

Seventy-five years at a shop counter teaches you what people fall in love with, what they keep, and what they bring back. We design from that. Some pieces start from a blank page. Others begin with a design Indian homes already love, and then we change what matters. Either way, you won’t find a Fos piece anywhere else.
